Lisa Marie Wragg A.I.D.T.A
Lisa founded LMW Dance in 2012 with the aim of sharing her passion and love for the performing arts and making these subjects accessible to all.
Lisa began her dance, drama and singing tuition at an early age working her way through the grades, performing at many regional and London based theatres and been nominated for the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) international scholarship for Theatre Craft. Upon finishing School she began her study at the Sheffield College where she attained an AS Level in dance, A Level in dance and a Btec National Diploma in dance and performing arts. She then moved to Nottingham to start her professional training on a scholarship placement as a dance major at the Midlands Academy of Dance and Drama, graduating with a professional diploma in dance and musical theatre (Distinction.) Lisa has since continued her professional training at Pineapple Dance Studios, London, The Actors Centre, London and Studio Harmonic, Paris.
Lisa is a fully qualified dance teacher with the IDTA as an Associate member of the freestyle dance branch (Honours) a Pre-Associate member of the Ballet branch (Highly Commended) and has her IDTA Anatomy and Physiology Diploma.
Lisa is a registered child chaperone, a qualified first aider and has completed the NSPCC Child Protection in Sport course, Statutory and Mandatory Training: Safeguarding Adults course, Supporting Children’s Health Asthma course and Anaphylaxis Campaign.
Lisa is extremely passionate about her work and thoroughly enjoys seeing her students grow in confidence and have fun whilst keeping fit and developing their performing arts education.
As a teacher, Lisa has taught dance, drama, musical theatre and cheerleading throughout the UK to a range of age groups and standard of student. She has choreographed for shows, tutored students for auditions and has taught the IDTA dance syllabus and LAMDA Speech and Drama syllabus with students gaining Distinction and Honours. Lisa has taught classes and workshops within many institutions as well as delivering workshops at London’s prestigious Pineapple Dance Studios.
As a performer some of Lisa’s professional credits include principle dancer and understudy Evil Queen in ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ at The Mansfield Palace Theatre, dancer for Tinchy Stryder at the ‘UEFA Champions League Final’ at Wembley Stadium, dancer in ‘Bollywood Steps’ UK tour, dancer in Bollywood movie ‘Chikka Bukku,’ dancer and Banana in Pyjamas skin artist in ‘Milkshake Party Party Live’ TV commercial for channel 5, dancer in ‘The Outcast’ for the BBC, Jack in ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ UK tour, ft. actress in ‘Turismo de Canarias “Londres”’ viral.
